YOUNGSTER CATCHES HIS FIRST 30!! Mon 1-Mar-2010 |
At just 15 years old, CURTIS NASH from Bristol, has landed his first 30lb carp and there is little doubt that it won’t be his last (or much bigger) if he maintains his present rate of progress in carp catching skills.
Scene of his fish of a lifetime at 30lbs 01oz was Bathampton Angling Association’s Hunstrete Main Lake where the Brislington Enterprise College student had been concentrating his efforts in recent months.
The “fishing mad” youngster started fishing at just nine years old and every encouragement and expert tuition from his dad has seen him become a proper angler and knowledgeable beyond his years.
Successful bait was “Atlantic Heat” presented on the lake’s north bank and it was no surprise that Curtis was left “shaking” after a hectic scrap from, in his words, “such a stunning fish!”
