We meet up on the 1st Tuesday of each month at the Bell on the Common , where we have use of their spacious upstairs meeting room ( at no cost to the group ) . The meetings normally kick off at about 20:30 , and last for about 45 minutes , depending on how much business there is to discuss .

On a good night every seat is taken ( of which there are about 30 ) , but we can always find room for more . Each member of the group is encouraged to look out for new faces , and try and make potential new members feel welcome .

Members find the group meetings are a useful forum to discuss a variety of issues concerning today's trail rider , such as who's leading next month's run , as well as highlighting any rights of way issues that may need addressing .

Invariably copies of the " Wiltshire TRF Monthly Newsletter " is available , as well as " Leader " ( the B&B journal ) and " LARA News " . 

From time to time we invite guest speakers along to talk about a variety of subjects . Recently we were joined by Nick Terry who is a Police motorcyclist with the Wiltshire Constabulary . His specialist subject was " how to be a safer rider " - something we could all learn a thing or too about . Last year Nick Hudson gave an interesting practical demonstration on how and why bike suspension works , and he should know as he is the 1981 World 250cc Motocross Champion . In 1999 we were fortunate enough to be joined by Martyn Maisey after he successfully completed that years Paris Dakar Rally , arguably the most difficult motorsport event in the World .

One of the many ways that we finance the group is to hold a raffle at the end of each meeting . Every member is encouraged to participate by either buying a couple of tickets , or donating a prize from time to time . Some local businesses have been kind enough to make an annual donation , but we are always looking to increase the number of beneficiaries .
